Senior Project Engineer

Location: Delft Office and Project Site (Offshore).

Job Summary:

The Senior Engineer plays a central role in planning, executing, and overseeing engineering projects in offshore environments. This position requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and a deep commitment to safety standards.

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, objectives, schedules, and budgets for offshore engineering projects.
  2. Technical Support: Providing technical expertise and support for systems, ensuring they meet project requirements.
  3. Safety Compliance: Adhering to and promoting a strong safety culture by implementing all safety procedures, protocols, and best practices during project execution.
  4. Resource Management: Managing project resources, including personnel, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
  5. Quality Assurance: Monitoring project progress, ensuring that engineering designs and installations meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  6. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of project activities, including design documentation, safety reports, inspection records, and change orders.
  7. Cost Control: Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities to optimize project spending while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  8. Client Communication: Regularly communicating with clients, addressing project updates, changes, and client requirements.
  9. Emergency Response: Acting swiftly and effectively during emergency situations, including responding to alarms and participating in safety drills.

Key Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree Offshore Engineering or a related field.
  2. Relevant certifications in offshore safety.
  3. 3+ years offshore cable-installation experience in project engineering.
  4. Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the offshore environment.
  5. Proficiency in engineering tools and software.
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  7. Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures.
  8. Ability to live and reside in Netherlands.
