Senior Project Engineer
Location: Delft Office and Project Site (Offshore).
Job Summary:
The Senior Engineer plays a central role in planning, executing, and overseeing engineering projects in offshore environments. This position requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and a deep commitment to safety standards.
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, objectives, schedules, and budgets for offshore engineering projects.
- Technical Support: Providing technical expertise and support for systems, ensuring they meet project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to and promoting a strong safety culture by implementing all safety procedures, protocols, and best practices during project execution.
- Resource Management: Managing project resources, including personnel, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Quality Assurance: Monitoring project progress, ensuring that engineering designs and installations meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of project activities, including design documentation, safety reports, inspection records, and change orders.
- Cost Control: Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities to optimize project spending while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Client Communication: Regularly communicating with clients, addressing project updates, changes, and client requirements.
- Emergency Response: Acting swiftly and effectively during emergency situations, including responding to alarms and participating in safety drills.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Offshore Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in offshore safety.
- 3+ years offshore cable-installation experience in project engineering.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the offshore environment.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures.
- Ability to live and reside in Netherlands.
